Sant'Angelo bridge
As you are in the Paolina Hall, you will descend a very short staircase and have a clear view of the Castel Sant’Angelo Bridge just in front of you. You are now on the Loggia di Giulio II. Built at the beginning of the 16th century, the Loggia is the place where the Pope blessed the pilgrims on their way to St. Peter’s Basilica. You can listen to the stories about it right now, or you can exit the Castel Sant’Angelo and go to the bridge, admiring at the same time the numerous statues that adorn it. Ιf you wish to end this self guided audio visit outside the site, please follow the museum itinerary to exit. There will be some limited glimpses of the Passetto along the way, and you will have the chance to stop in the bookshop.
