Directions
Bocche dei Leoni (no. 3)
Walk past San Teodoro’s statue and turn right to walk along the roofed walkway that runs behind the Giants’ Staircase. You will walk past the entrance leading to the Museum Café and the wardrobe. If you are carrying a backpack or large baggage items, you are advised to leave them at the wardrobe before continuing your visit. Walk past the entrance leading to the toilets and continue straight until you see the staircase on your left that will lead you to the upper part of the palace. There is a mezzanine level, where toilets are available. Continue upstairs to reach the Loggias. Turn right, and you’ll immediately see a small hole in the wall on your right. Continue straight ahead until you see another similar hole on your right and a human face carved on the wall. This is the so-called Bocca di Leone (no. 3 in the official audioguide), which is our next point of interest.
