The Portrait of the Five Censors (no.32)
Walk along the Bridge of Sighs, crossing the corridor adjacent to the one you previously used to enter the prisons. It will lead you to a short flight of stairs, which will take you to the Sala dei Censori. Domenico Tintoretto painted the portraits of the magistrates surmounting the wooden walls. With the stairs behind you, you’ll see Tintoretto’s portrait of the five Censors — including a smaller painting of the Madonna and Child — on the opposite wall (no. 32 in the official audioguide).
